On Saturday, June 3rd, 2017,\u00a0The MOS\u00c9 Store,\u00a0a premium beauty retail hub opened its doors to beauty connoisseurs at its flagship location at Nelle Mall, Lekki Phase 1, Lagos.<\/p>\n

The event began with a press conference boasting an impressive turnout of influencers, celebrities and well-wishers, elegantly dressed in premium African print clothing who came prepared to experience a day in\u00a0Mos\u00e9 Wonderlandwhilst having an African tea party. The guests were greeted by compere, Ify Igwe who introduced all to The Mos\u00e9 Store brand.<\/p>\n

The Creative Director of the Mos\u00e9 Store,\u00a0Nowe Isibor,\u00a0began by speaking about her incredibly daunting yet rewarding journey that saw the inception of the Mose store. Guests were shocked to know that the Mos\u00e9 Store had been in existence for over two years.<\/p>\n

She said of her journey: \u201cThere were times when the store was empty and no one was buying anything but I would come in every day. It became my day job as I had quit my regular paying job\u2026So many people told me to close shop, count my loss and even operate solely online\u2026.but that was not an option for me, as an online store was always meant to compliment Mos\u00e9 physical retail space \u201d. Her resilience has finally paid off.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

The Omonomos\u00e9-in-Chief wants to revolutionize beauty retail in Africa. She is set to create a world class beauty retail chain of stores housing both international and African brands. This was then followed by a panel discussion consisting of skincare brand owners:\u00a0Uzor Okonmah,\u00a0Founder Midori wonders,\u00a0Folasade Olagbaye,\u00a0Founder\u00a0 Aralew\u00e1 Skincare,\u00a0Zephia Ovia,\u00a0Founder\/CEO Makariah Scrubs and\u00a0Ore Runsewe,\u00a0Founder Arami Essentials, who spoke about their experiences stocking with The Mos\u00e9 Store and the importance of\u00a0 a good\u00a0 quality beauty retail space.<\/p>\n

Mos\u00e9 In house Makeup Artist\/Beauty Blogger,\u00a0Stephanie Ani\u00a0(Pro Make Up Artistry) spoke about why she chose to partner with Mos\u00e9 Brand, stating that she wanted a place that would feel like home and wanted her customers to get the continuous Stephanie Ani service they are accustomed to, she said the Mos\u00e9 Store provided all that and more.<\/p>\n

Design Experts of The Mos\u00e9 Store,\u00a0Ogonna Okafor-\u00a0Principal Designer Fiona Phillips Design Studio spoke about how this was her first design job after\u00a0 Parsons School of Design in New York City, and how she was more than happy to join the Mos\u00e9 team in creating a world class beauty retail space. She said\u00a0Isibor Nowe\u00a0had a clear vision for the Mos\u00e9 Store, and it was based on that brief she implemented the Vision of the brand in its design aesthetics.<\/p>\n

Dr Vivian Oputa<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Renowned Industry Expert\u00a0Dr Vivian Oputa,\u00a0dermatologist, Medical Director DermaCare Medical Limited also spoke about the importance of skincare, especially sunscreen, citing that it was one of the leading causes for premature aging and even cancer. She also spoke about how there were not enough quality beauty retail spaces in Nigeria and the need for such spaces in the beauty industry.<\/p>\n

On that note the press conference ended and Dr Vivian Oputa had the honor of officially declaring The Mos\u00e9 Store open for business!<\/p>\n
